Sunday Dinners

Who could forget Mama Rosie's cooking!  Her sauce was simply . . . THE BEST!

Sunday dinners at my parents house was like having a family reunion every week.  Mom would have 20+ for dinner every Sunday and must have cooked what looked like 10 lbs of pasta, braciole, meatballs, sausage, pork, ricotta, parmesan, etc.  At the core of Sunday dinners was family, and this was my mother's primary focus and devotion.  Hosting Sunday dinners was a way for my Mom to bring everyone together to stay connected as a family.

How good was her sauce?  As a young kid, I can remember rushing home from church on Sunday's to taste the sauce that she was cooking all morning.  We would raid the breadbox, grab a loaf of Italian bread each and slice it down the middle.  We would then layer the bread with her unbelievable sauce.  Now that was a great lunch.

I miss you so much already . . . Love, Paul
