Doris (Barletta) Accrino , 95 of Providence, died peacefully on Sunday July 15, 2018 at the Crestwood Nursing Home in Warren.

She was the wife of the late Gerald Accrino Sr., they were married for over 51 years.

She was born in New Haven Ct., a daughter of the late Louis M. and Madeline( York) Barletta.

Doris was a Bookkeeper for the former Grant’s Department Stores.
She also worked for Jerry Texaco Station( family business) as a bookkeeper from 1965 - 1984, she was hired as a temporary worker at Anquillare, Ruocco, Threster and Company, she worked there for 22 years before retiring in 2006.

Mrs. Accrino belonged to St. Ann’s Church in Providence, and also worked in the Rectory there.

Doris lived in Providence for 12 years, coming from New Haven, Ct., She had lived in New Haven Ct., until August of 2006 when she relocated to Providence, to be closer to family.

She enjoyed gardening, she had a green thumb, especially with African Violets, and was an avid reader.
Doris belonged to many book clubs, and she loved being with her family.

She is survived by her sons Stephen and his wife Mary of Bristol, RI, Kenneth Accrino of Antioch ,TN.
She was the mother of the late Gerald Accrino ,Jr., and sister of the late Eleanor Damato.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 9:00am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Alexander Church, 221 Main Street, Warren.

Burial will be on FRIDAY July 20, 2018 at 11:00am in the Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven, CT.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-7pm.
