Obituary for Anthony Monafo

Warren -- Anthony Monafo,97 of Warren, died Monday March 19, 2018 at the Crestwood Nursing Home.

He was the husband of t the late Irene Ann( Girard) Monafo.

He was born in Bristol, the son of the late Vincent and Rose( Palumbo) Monafo. Anthony was a US Navy and Air National Guard Veteran, serving for over 20 years before retiring.

Anthony was Production Planner for the International Telephone and Telegraph, and also the Kaiser Aluminum Company for many years before he retired.

A Warren resident for over 78 years , he was a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptiste Church.
He was a member of the Elks, member of the Warren Democratic Party, the Chairman of the zoning board.
Anthony was also on the planning board, and a member of the Italian Club in Warren.

Mr. Monafo is survived by his children Anthony Monafo of Swansea, Vincent Monafo of Warren, and Patricia Ann Francis of Bristol.
He is also survived by his sister Rosemarie Doiron of Coventry.
he was the grandfather of Michael, Keith, Melissa, and Louis III. Mr. Monafo was the great grandfather of Cameron, Jason,and Hayden.

Anthony was the brother of the late Ralph E. Monafo and the late Josephine Balzano.

Funeral services are private, at the request of the family.
