Obituary for Diane Louise Huftalen (Huftalen)

Diane Louise Huftalen (Huftalen)
Diane Louise Huftalen, 70, of Warren, died December 21, 2017. Daughter of Howard and Dorothy Huftalen. Sister of Susan Braz (Raymond), Howard Huftalen Jr. (Lisa), Stephen Huftalen (Kathryn), David Huftalen (Charlene), and Peter Huftalen (Sandra). Sister in law of Donna Huftalen. She leaves Nieces Jodie Corvello (Nick), Courtney Rhilinger (Jeff), Katherine Taylor (Ray) Jocelyn Huftalen and Nephews Stephen Huftalen Jr (Tarsha), Jonathan Braz (Ashley), David Huftalen Jr (Christy), and Colby Huftalen (Lauren). Seven, soon to be nine, great nieces and nephews, Davis, Dean, David III, MacKenzie, Mia, Grady, and Ryan.
No one expected Diane would be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer one month after our Father passed away this year. Diane took care of Dad in the last years of his life. She was his advocate and protector. Dad knew he was in good hands with her by his side. She put her life on hold and ministered to her Father. Diane never blamed or questioned her diagnosis and fought to live the last months of her life.
Diane was an office worker in several companies during her work time. Her passion was her family especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. It was her pleasure and joy to watch them grow, babysit, choose gifts for them, and encourage them with unconditional love.
Diane had a circle of very close friends that date back to childhood, co-workers, and racing friends. These friends were so important to her; their families also became her family. Loyalty, compassion, and selflessness were given and returned. Each of her friends walked this last journey with her, loving her with encouragement, handmade quilts and blankets, flowers and visits.
Diane's Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 6th at 10:00am at The Baptist Church, 407 Main Street, Warren, Rhode Island 02885.
