Obituary for Marianna G. "Nina" Overy (Luciano)

Marianna G. “ Nina” ( Luciano) Overy, 76 of Bristol, died Tuesday Aug. 16, 2016 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.

She was the wife of John Overy Sr., they were married for over 60 years.

“Nina” was born in Weymouth, MA., a daughter of the late Francisco and Josephine (Oliva) Luciano.

Mrs. Overy was a homemaker.

She has been a Bristol resident since 1975 coming from East Providence.
Nina enjoyed baking cakes for her children and grandchildren, cooking, and all culinary arts.
She looked forward to spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children John Overy Jr. of Johnston, David Haywood of Tiverton, Frank Overy , Nicholas Overy, and Daryl Overy all of Bristol, Linda Oliveira of Bristol, Marianne Overy of Pawtucket, Paula Stephenson of Bristol, Suzanne Francis of Warren.
She was the sister of Anne Devlin of Pembroke Ma, and Rita Vigneau of Duxbury MA,
Nina was the grandmother of 18, and the great grandmother of 8, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Nina, was the sister of the late Robert Luciano.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are omitted.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory can be sent to Hope is Alive, 118 Franklin Street, Bristol, R.I. 02809 .
