Obituary for Peter J. Gallinelli Jr.
Clearwater Florida – Peter Joseph Gallinelli, Jr., 66 of Clearwater Florida, and formerly of Warren died Sunday Sept. 2,2018 at the Morton Plante Hospital in Clearwater.
He was the former husband of Elizabeth (Urban) Gallinelli of Warren.
Peter was born in Providence a son of the late Peter Gallinelli Sr. and Rita (Pagano) Gallinelli
He was a Supervisor in the Maintenance Department of the Dillard’s Department Store in Clearwater.
Mr. Gallinelli was a US Army Veteran serving as Sergeant before retiring after more than 24 years of service.
Peter has lived in Clearwater since 2004 coming from Warren, he was a former parishioner of St. Jean the Baptiste Church.
He was a volunteer and member of the AMVETS, and the EAGLES.
Peter enjoyed riding his Harley – Davidson and attending fundraising rides.
He was an Eagle Scout and former Troop Leader. He enjoyed playing golf, guitar, and was a scuba diver.
Mr. Gallinelli was a long -time volunteer member of the Warren Fire Department, Engine 5.
Besides his former wife he is survived by his Son Peter J. Gallinelli III and his wife Elizabeth of Schererville, Indiana, and his daughter Tina Borges and her husband David of Riverside, RI. His brother Thomas Gallinelli of Ct.
He was the grandfather of Emma Borges, Zoe Gallinelli, Zachary Gallinelli, Zander Gallinelli.
Peter was the brother of the late Robert Gallinelli.
His funeral will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 9:00am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICE, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Followed by a graveside service at 10:00am in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are Thursday Sept. 20,2018 from 5-8pm.
