Michael J. Rainey, 59, of Pasadena California, and formerly of Warren died Saturday June 30, 2018 at the Huntington Memorial Hospital, in Pasadena, California.

Michael was born in Fall River, Ma., he was the son of Marilyn E. (Stratton) Rainey of Bristol, and the late Robert Rainey .

He was a Financial Analyst for Raytheon for over 25 years, currently working in California, and previously in Boston for them.
Mike was a graduate of Providence College Class of 1982.

Michael has lived in California for the last 17 years coming from Boston and Warren.

He was a former parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church, and was an avid hiker, and loved spending time outdoors.

Besides his mother he is survived by his brothers Bob Rainey and his wife Joyce of Narragansett, Doug Rainey of Boston, and his sister Patricia Patterson of North Scituate, and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Jim Rainey.

His funeral will be held Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 9:30am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Bristol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am.
