Obituary for Elizabeth Mageau (Rebello)

Warren – Elizabeth (Rebello) Mageau, 88, of Warren, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at home.

She was the wife of the late James Leo Mageau.

Elizabeth was born in Bristol, RI, a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Corea) Rebello.

Mrs. Mageau was a Warren resident for most of her life. She was a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptiste Church in Warren.

She was a handkerchief folder for many years for the former S. E. Rains Company in Warren.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening, and was also a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her children Richard Mageau of Marietta, GA, Barbara Warner of Warren, Joan Fortin of Warren, Diane St. Pierre of Warwick, Carolyn Sherman of Riverside, and Helen Govoni of Port Charlotte, Florida.
Mrs. Mageau was the grandmother of nine and the great grandmother of twelve.

Elizabeth was the sister of Manuel Rebello of Rehoboth and Alfred Rebello of Bristol. She was the sister of the late Joseph Rebello and the late Dorothy Harris.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at 9:00am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7pm.
