Donald J. "Don"  Anania
Bristol -- Donald J. Anania, 57, of Bristol, died Sunday December 17, 2017 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston.
He was the husband of Julie (Medeiros) Anania , they were married for over 35 years.

Don was born in Cranston a son of the late Angelo and Lorraine (Burns) Anania.

He was a Machinist for Electric Boat for over 32 years, before retiring.

Don was a graduate of CCRI class of 1987 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences.
He has been a Bristol resident all of his life.

Mr. Anania was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Bristol, a member of the East Warren Rod and Gun Club, and the Raccoon Club Association of Exeter.

He liked to go fishing, deer hunting, and shooting.

Don loved spending time with his family.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Christopher Anania and his wife Carmen of Bristol, and Nicholas Anania of Bristol.

He was the brother of Angelo G. Anania of PA., Michael Anania of Smithfield, David Anania of East Providence, and Richard Anania of Bristol.

Don was the grandfather of Dominic Anania, Alexia and Jonathan Medeiros.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 8:30am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 4-7pm.
